Steamer

23/25

This kitchen utensil was made by the Japanese immigrants themselves in order to steam cook fish, meat or vegetables and thus prepare their meals in a manner similar to what they were used to in Japan.

The boiling water used to be placed in the lower compartment of the steamer, and the steam would cook the food arranged at the different levels of the utensil.
