Hb44 Saddle for a donkey

The City of Hiroshima
Donated by Kenneth R. Komo

Handmade saddle used on a donkey hauling coffee beans from the coffee field in Keopu of North Kona, Hawaii, from 1925 to 1945.
After the war, most farmers bought secondhand U.S. Army jeeps to carry the coffee and they no longer used donkeys.
