Used for cultivating by the donor’s father and his family in Kona, Hawaii, around the 1910s and the 1920s.
In 1908, the donor’s father immigrated to Hawaii and entered a three-year labor contract with a sugar company in Kau, Hawaii. After fulfilling his contract, he moved to Kona and became a coffee farmer. He was extremely active throughout his life in various organizations such as Japanese language schools, a Buddhist church, Japanese civic organizations, etc.
