Initially one hundred Japanese immigrants who came aboard the Itsukushima Maru — which arrived at Callao on December 21, 1906 with 774 immigrants — settled on Hacienda Paramonga, north of Lima. The image shows the Japanese who worked in the fields on this hacienda and were members of the Japanese Society of Paramonga in 1910.
