Used as a medicine box by Sadaichi Tsunemoto. He worked at a mansion in Honolulu from the late Taisho Era to the early Showa Era at the referral of his relative. He often received gifts from the mansion owner, who valued him as an honest and good man. The owner had this box custom made during a trip to Japan.
