On June 13, 2009 Prince Hitachi placed a floral offering on the Friendship Bridge or Commemorative Monument of the Centenary of the Japanese Immigration to Peru, which was inaugurated by Princess Sayako of Japan on May 29, 1999, as part of the celebrations commemorating the one hundred years since the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to our country.
