110th Anniversary of the Japanese Immigration to Peru

The festivities in 2009 to commemorate the 110th Anniversary of the Japanese Immigration to Peru renewed the admiration and gratitude to those 790 Japanese who overcame great difficulties and set out the future path for their descendants with great efforts and sacrifice. The festivities also serve to point out the Nikkei’s integration into Peruvian society and their contribution towards building the national identity.
