As part of the works commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Japanese Immigration to Peru, the Museum of the Japanese Immigration to Peru was inaugurated in July, 1981 with the attendance of the President of the Republic Fernando Belaúnde.
As of August, 2003, the Museum was renamed “Carlos Chiyoteru Hiraoka” in recognition of the achievements by this notable entrepreneur and leader of the Peruvian Japanese Association and other institutions.
The photo shows the previous layout of the Museum, which was fully renovated in 2010.
