Paramonga Clock Tower

2/7

In 1921, commemorating the Centenary of the Independence of Peru, the Japanese immigrants who worked in the fields of Hacienda Paramonga, north of Lima, donated a Clock Tower, as a token of their gratitude to the land that welcomed them.
The Tower collapsed in the aftermath of the 1970 earthquake. The photo was taken in July, 1939.
